The Localism Bill is unnecessary legislation, as councils are already making localism work, local authority leaders in Yorkshire and Humber have claimed.
Local Government in Yorkshire and Humber (LGYH)'s chair, Cllr Roger Stone, said: ‘Local authorities are the most accountable part of government, and are completely responsive to the needs of local people.'
