Bin busy negotiating Liverpool City Council has signed a new £9m deal with Veolia Environmental Services to run the authority’s waste-collection services. The council is also giving three wheelie bins to 100,000 homes in the city. One is for garden waste, one is for glass, paper and cans, and the other bin is for general waste.
