IT giant Microsoft and a consortium of four local authorities in the Black Country have celebrated their partnership with a community day. Around 150 staff from Microsoft's Reading office spent the day helping at projects across the region which are promoting regeneration of the region. The company has been working with Black Country Consortium, which comprises Wolverhampton City Council and Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall MBCs. Consortium chief executive officer, Sarah Middleton, said they hoped to turn the Black Country into an urban park.
