Blake named new chief at St Albans

St Albans DC has appointed James Blake as its new chief executive, following the departure of Daniel Goodwin in December.

St Albans DC has appointed James Blake as its new chief executive, following the departure of Daniel Goodwin in December.

Mr Blake, was deputy chief executive at the council. He previously worked in central government, most recently as a deputy director at DCLG. He said: ‘St Albans is a great place but we are not immune from the economic, social and environmental pressures which face the rest of the country. I am keen for the council to do all it can to support local residents, businesses and community organisations to overcome these challenges.'
