Councillors who want to get blogging are to get a helping hand from the International Centre of Excellence for Local e-Democracy (ICELE). The centre is to launch a new website, called Blog in a Box, to help them get online and communicate with local people. The website is expected to be launched in the autumn, and will allow councillors to create different layouts and run their own blogs. ICELE chair Matthew Ellis said the new tool would make it easier for councillors to get blogging.
