Most local authorities still employ predominantly white men to their top team of officials, even in ethnically-diverse areas of the UK, updated statistics suggest.
Figures released under Freedom of Information laws show that UK council executives are still overwhelmingly white, with just one local authority in London – Lambeth – headed by a non-white chief executive, Derrick Anderson.
