Leeds City Council's executive board has given the green light to the ‘best and final' bid for a trolleybus system, which it will now submit to the Department for Transport for approval.
Known as next generation transport (NGT), the environmentally-friendly scheme seeks to support the growth of the city's economy, generating up to 5,000 jobs.
