A High Court judge has ruled that Hillingdon LBC wrongly deprived an autistic man of his freedom for almost 12 months.
In a case which could have implications for other authorities, the court ruled that 21-year-old Steven Neary was deprived of his liberty, despite repeated pleas from his father, Mark Neary, to let him come home.
