Almost half of London's boroughs have signed up to an e-tendering service enabling councils to comply with government directives for collaborative procurement and engage with their SME supplier base.
The London Tenders Portal, developed by Due North – an e-business company based in Northumberland – is now used by 15 of the capital's councils after Ealing joined the system, populated by more than 17,500 suppliers which have bid for at least 1,100 contracts.
