Britain's first tri-borough director will take on a large and challenging remit when he begins work this autumn, having been asked to manage key children's services programmes across three flagship London councils.

Subject to each council's approval, Andrew Christie will shortly become director of a shared children's services management team across Westminster City Council, Kensington and Chelsea RLBC and his current authority, Hammersmith and Fulham LBC.
