The CBI has warned of ‘mixed messages' from the Government regarding future private sector involvement in the delivery of public services. CBI deputy director general, John Cridland, said his organisation was concerned following comments made by work and pensions secretary, Peter Hain, that welfare to work deals were not his ‘preferred option' to get people back in employment. ‘This adds to our real concern about the mixed messages from ministers on the future of public service reform,' said Mr Cridland.
