Communities secretary Eric Pickles has urged local business leaders to ‘turn the wheels of our economy', following the formal launch of the latest generation of enterprise zones.
Business rates discounts – of up to 100% relief for five years – for firms operating within the zones came into force earlier this month, and Mr Pickles has wasted little time in pitching the financial benefits available to expanding companies.
