Bradford City Council has joined the Local Government Association campaign to demand that money spent by local authorities on landfill tax should be reinvested in recycling schemes. Cllr Anne Hawkesworth, executive member for environment and culture, said: ‘I am disappointed the Government has chosen not to reinvest the money to help boost recycling in the district.'
