Brands Hatch racing circuit has signed an agreement with Sevenoaks DC aimed at reducing noise and inconvenience for nearby residents. The voluntary noise-management plan sets out details of how it will monitor and limit noise levels during racing on the track and on action to curb unnecessary noise caused by vehicles and tannoy use, with a telephone hotline and e-mail service for complaints. It also introduces a no-fly zone over the village of West Kingston for aircraft taking off or landing at the race circuit. Sevenoaks chief executive, Robin Hales, said: ‘ Brands Hatch is an important part of the district's economy and its heritage. Local people will receive greater protection from noise and we will have fewer complaints to deal with.'
