Brent LBC chief executive, Gareth Daniel, has taken place-shaping to a new level – with the surprise announcement of plans to change the council's name to the London Borough of Wembley. He revealed the change would coincide with a move to a new town hall. ‘The council will be opening a new civic centre near the stadium in late 2012, and this provides an excellent opportunity to consider branding,' he said. ‘The Wembley name is an international brand and a powerful symbol for attracting jobs, world-class services and much-needed investment to west London.'
