Brent youngsters top Neet league

According to new government statistics, school leavers in Brent are most likely to be in education compared to other parts of the country.

School-leavers in Brent are more likely to be in education or training than in almost any other part of the country, according to new government statistics.

Figures released by the Department for Education report that 93.6% of 16 and 17-year-olds in Brent are in training or education, which is the fourth-best performance in the UK. ‘The participation of all young people in education and training until the age of 18 is critical to our ambitions to reduce poverty,' said Brent's lead member for children, Cllr Mary Arnold.
