Brighton and Hove will receive a major funding boost of £23m to ‘accelerate substantial redevelopment projects'. The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) investment announcement was warmly welcomed by Brighton and Hove City Council and described as a ‘vote of confidence' in the future of the area. The money will play an integral role in the transformation of the city's convention centre. It will also provide funding for the transport infrastructure needed to enable the community stadium in East Brighton to be built, if granted planning permission.
