Britain's oldest councillor could be set to stand again at the age of 90, after the death of another candidate. Robert Woodhouse had told colleagues on Vale Royal DC that he was standing down from the Davenham and Moulton ward. He has now offered to run again in a new poll on 21 June after the death of mayor Cllr Joan Kerruish-Jones during April's election campaign. He told The MJ: ‘I'm still doing a good job and because of the local government reorganisation, it would only be two years. If they want me to stand again, I'll do it.'
