British workforce does it better, says Vauxhall

Cheshire West and Chester Council praised Vauxhall, after it announces it would continue to produce vehicles at its Ellesmere Port plant.

Cheshire West and Chester Council has praised car manufacturer Vauxhall, after the firm announced it would continue to produce the new model Astra at its Ellesmere Port plant – securing jobs and vital investment within the area.

After months of discussions, the company revealed last week it would invest £125m in the plant and create 700 new jobs by building the next generation of Astras.
