BT has been selected by North Yorkshire CC to roll out high-speed broadband across the county by the end of 2014.
The communications giant will contribute £10m towards fibre networks in rural areas, while the local authority will use £17.8m of Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) money to fund the improvements.
