Having identified the special Government account used to pay for missiles aimed at Libya as a prime target for raiding, I would also like to dip into Andrew Mitchell's Overseas Development Aid budget. We will have an overseas aid budget of circa £12 billion & I am firmly of the view that, once we have paid for all the outstanding social service pressures, eliminated waiting lists at hospitals & seen off child poverty then supporting the less fortunate around the world is doable, not before. I really do not buy this argument that says building facilities for the poor in 3rd world countries prevents extremism & therefore reduces the risk of terrorism . That may be true, but I will also bet that more people in the UK will die from a lack of proper health care than will ever die from a terrorist bomb.
