Former Blackburn with Darwen BC chief executive Graham Burgess is returning to the town as the chairman of the local clinical commissioning group (CCG).

Mr Burgess, who was top officer at the local authority from 2006 to 2012, will take on his new role at the NHS Blackburn with Darwen CCG in October, when he replaces the outgoing chairman, Joe Slater.
