Edinburgh Business Assembly has called for business rates to be reinvested back into the city's infrastructure. Failure to reinvest in Edinburgh would see the city starved of investment, EBA's chairman, Geoff Ball, warned. ‘We must make Edinburgh a more attractive place to do business if we are to keep pace with and surpass our UK and European competitor cities,' he said. ‘Edinburgh's economic success is a major driver of Scotland's economy, so if Edinburgh is allowed to decline, Scotland will decline.'
