A new report has warned an 'overwhelming majority' of business leaders are ready to walk away from LEPs.

The ‘overwhelming majority' of business leaders are ready to walk away from local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) unless the Government gives the bodies ‘real powers and finance', a new report has warned.

Research by the Work Foundation this week suggested business leaders across three major LEPs were frustrated with the lack of progress the bodies had made, and some even suggested they might drop their support for the flagship programme within six months.
