Hainault Business Park in Redbridge, London, has become only the second industrial estate in the country to vote to become a business improvement district (BID). Eighty-two firms, more than half of those on the estate, voted to pay an extra 1% on their business rate for the next five years to pay for improvements. Redbridge LBC's ~Alan Weinberg~ said he was delighted with the news, and the five-year programme would benefit all businesses in the park.
