Businesses call for less rigid planning

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has called for the Localism Bill to include a business-friendly planning system.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has called for the Localism Bill to include a business-friendly planning system.

The BCC's director of policy, Dr Adam Marshall, said the communities and local government select committee was right to seek more clarity around the concept of localism, and called for a more efficient planning system as the Bill itself goes through the House of Lords.
