Two district councils must decide if they are to continue sharing a chief executive after losing their incumbent to a development agency. Deborah Cadman OBE, currently chief executive of St Edmundsbury BC and interim chief executive of Waveney DC, is taking on the role as head of the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). She takes over in July from David Marlow, who has been EEDA chief executive since 2003. She said: ‘This is one of the most exciting, important and challenging economic development roles in the UK and I'm really looking forward to being able to play a major part in the success of the east of England.'
