IBM has developed a sophisticated service application designed to help city leaders calculate municipal policy decisions and their impact on residents.
Entitled ‘System dynamics for smarter cities' the analysis software was trialled with the City of Portland, Oregon, in the US, and claims to bring understanding to the relationship between dynamics, such as public health and urban investment, taxes collected and electricity consumption, and population density and wellness.
