Cambridgeshire councils waiting for a decision on reorganisation are heading for a ‘bunfight' over the debts of a development company set up by the county, a district leader has warned.
Cambridgeshire CC, which borrowed £114m from the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB) so This Land could buy council land for development, says the company is on target to pay back £58m it still owes by March 2029.
