Hampshire and West Sussex CCs are among authorities backing a new campaign encouraging drivers to treat lollipop men and women with more respect. ‘Lollipop rage' has been on the increase over the last few years, with drivers being abusive and revving engines while school crossing patrols are on the road. Failure to stop at a lollipop stop sign can result in a £1,000 fine and a three-point penalty on a person's driving licence.
