Somerset CC has announced a commitment to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2015. It will also publish an annual Climate change action plan, detailing actions and targets for each of its service areas to deal with the causes and effects of climate change. Council leader, Cllr Jill Shortland, said: ‘Climate change has the potential to seriously impact on all of us, and it is important we pull together to tackle its cause and impacts.'
