Businesses from across Cardiff are set to benefit from a capital fund. The city's council has developed financial support for new and existing business to help them safeguard and create new jobs. The fund can offer businesses support through a range of financial assistance, including loans, grants and taking equity stakes. Deputy council leader of Cardiff Council, Neil McEvoy, said: ‘The capital fund has been developed to help business and to encourage economic growth in the city.' The focus for the scheme has been concentrated on entrepreneurs trying to get start-ups running, despite the recession.
