Cardiff's quality standard is a first

Cardiff City Council has become the first local authority in Wales to achieve the Welsh Housing Quality Standard target.

Cardiff City Council has become the first local authority in Wales to achieve the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) target, some two months ahead of the 31 December deadline.

The WHQS was developed by the Welsh Government to provide a common standard for all housing in Wales. Targets include making housing safe and secure, and in good repair.
