Carillion boss bows out as firm celebrates10% profit increase

Carillion’s group chief executive, John McDonough, has announced he is retiring at the end of the year.

Carillion's group chief executive, John McDonough, has announced he is retiring at the end of the year, after the infrastructure firm revealed a 10% rise in pre-tax profits.

The company posted its half-year results to the end of June last week, which saw underlying pre-tax profits rise from £66m last year to £73m this year.
