An army of street cleaners swept into action following last weekend's successful Notting Hill Carnival.

More than 70 tonnes of waste was cleared from the carnival route – by 170 staff and 60 vehicles – after one million revellers enjoyed two days of music, dancing, food and culture in central and west London.
