Leeds City Council has granted a large casino licence to Global Gaming Ventures (GGV), who are planning to open a new facility as part of the Victoria Gate development.
The licence is subject to various terms, including an upfront payment of £1m and a commitment to employ at least 205 full-time staff. 'GGV's proposal will provide a major boost to the local economy,' said chair of the licensing committee, Cllr Graham Hyde.
