Caving in over red tape

One motorist got more than he bargained for when complaining to Essex CC about potholes.

It's fair to say, a lot of people experienced pothole damage to their cars this winter.

They probably even wrote to their councils, trying – and failing – to get compensation. But they almost definitely didn't get a 200-page letter for their claim.
