CBI says reform of supply processes 'too slow'

A CBI survey says, private sector suppliers believe the Government must improve the implementation of procurement reforms.

Private sector suppliers believe the Government must improve the speed and implementation of its procurement reforms, a CBI survey suggests.

Issued on 12 November, the poll of 100 firms reveals businesses gave the Government an average five out of 10 mark for implementation of reforms, one year after the Whitehall's procurement White Paper. Progress in making business with government faster and smarter was rated a mere four out of 10.
