The row over replacing Portsmouth City Council chief executive, Marion Headicar, continues, with all parties proposing different solutions. Lib Dem council leader, Gerald Vernon-Jackson, called for a replacement to be appointed, while Tory leader Alistair Thompson, and local MP Mike Hancock have said Ms Headicar’s departure provides an opportunity for all options to be considered. The Labour group want the post scrapped.
