Bath and North East Somerset Council has named Jo Farrar as its next chief executive.

Subject to a full council meeting, Dr Farrar, who is currently the chief executive of Bridgend CBC, will take over the new role at the beginning of August, when the existing top officer, John Everitt, leaves.
