Knowsley MBC has appointed Nick Kavanagh as executive director of change and transformation. Mr Kavanagh, who has worked at the council since 1985, will advise on the strategic direction of the local authority. Previously, he was acting executive director, and before that, he was assistant chief executive responsible for change management, policy and strategy, corporate communications, and equality and diversity. ‘Having been brought up in the borough and worked in the area all my life, I know how vital our services are to people,' he said.
