Community leaders from Blackburn with Darwen have written to secretary of state, Eric Pickles, to protest at the impact public sector spending cuts will have in their borough.

The letter to Mr Pickles was signed by 15 charity bosses, including the chief executive of Blackburn with Darwen CVS, Garth Hodgkinson, and manager of the local women's centre, Sarah Swindley.
