Trade union members lobbied a meeting of Glasgow City Council's executive on Friday to protest at plans to create a new charitable company. The executive voted to create Culture and Sport Glasgow, which will deliver all the culture and sport services to the city. Almost 2,500 council workers will transfer over to the company, which will be fully operational by 31 May.
