Cheshire East Council has agreed to join a new partnership designed to boost economic growth in the northwest.

The council's cabinet last week voted unanimously to become a limited partner in the North West Evergreen Fund, which is the urban development fund (UDF) for the Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and Cumbria sub-regions.
