Chief Executive, Calderdale

We take engagement seriously in Calderdale. Community engagement, partner engagement, staff engagement and cross-party political engagement. All are fundamental to the way we do things here and as the most senior member of the Council, both will be a focus of your role.

That's not to say we don't want someone with ideas of their own. On the contrary, we're looking for strong leadership and direction when it comes to shaping corporate and service strategies and developing new ways of working with partners to deliver more for our community.

But balance is the key word. Like balancing the needs of the people of Calderdale against available resources. Or balancing innovation with more traditional expectations – we care about what we do and how we do it, and you will too.

If you've got what it takes to get the balance right and innovative at the right pace for the people of Calderdale then we'd like to hear from you. For a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please call our retained consultants at Penna, Sally Abbott on 07887 530940 or Julie Towers on 07764 791736.
