Richard Marchant has been appointed chief executive of Capita's property and infrastructure business. Mr Marchant has been in the role, in an interim capacity, since February 2013.

He will also join the Capita plc divisional executive board. At the same time, Capita's property and infrastructure business's name will be changed from Capita Symonds to accurately reflect its core focus Mr Marchant spent 19 years in local government working with Leeds City Council before joining Capita in 1990.
