South Kesteven district councillors have told their chief executive, Duncan Kerr, to get on his bike – for charity. The councillors have agreed the 47-year-old Mr Kerr can take a mix of unpaid leave and holiday from 18 April until 26 September to undertake a marathon 10,000km cycle journey of a lifetime around Europe. A lifelong cycling enthusiast, he will use the journey to raise funds for charity, and while he is away, his executive duties as strategic director will be shared by Beverley Agass and Ian Yates.
