The Local Government Information Unit has played host to a delegation from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in China, to discuss the role of local councils in promoting regeneration and social responsibility. Dr Andy Johnston, head of the centre for sustainability at the LGIU, said: ‘This was a great opportunity for UK local government to share good practice with the country that is set to dominate world affairs for the next decade.'
