A new toolkit has been launched to help councils make more greener and sustainable purchasing choices through procurement. The ‘Sustainable procurement toolkit' from Forum for the Future will help councils incorporate social and environmental factors into their purchasing. ‘The public sector needs to lead by example and making better, more sustainable purchasing choices is a low-cost approach that will deliver considerable benefits,' said Forum for the Future's public sector programme director, Deborah Fox.
