CIPFA's Mapley: Merger with ICAEW will 'strengthen collective voice'

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) have paved the way for a merger, the two chartered accountancy bodies revealed yesterday.

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) have paved the way for a merger, the two chartered accountancy bodies revealed yesterday.

It comes after a joint declaration signed in 2023 committed to ‘ever-closer strategic alignment to strengthen the profession and better serve the public interest'.
